I am Kasym Jumayev, a dedicated young professional focused on advancing progress and innovation in youth development across Central Asia. My work centers on enhancing economic prospects and social well-being for rural communities in Turkmenistan, where I am inspired by our national youth policy to actively participate in initiatives that empower young people and foster sustainable communities, with a special focus on supporting women. My efforts align with key national programs such as the National Agricultural Program, the National Forestry Program (2021-2025), and the National Program for the Aral Sea (2021-2025). These initiatives guide my work in implementing sustainable agricultural practices, promoting afforestation, and addressing pressing environmental challenges unique to Turkmenistan and the broader Central Asian region. A primary focus is the efficient and sustainable use of water resources, essential for both agricultural productivity and environmental conservation in our arid climate.I am also well-acquainted with the Turkmenistan Action Plan for Preventing Violent Extremism and Countering Terrorism (2021-2024) and the State Youth Policy (2021-2025), which inform my approach to fostering resilience, stability, and empowerment among young people. Additionally, I am familiar with regional strategies—such as Kazakhstan’s Green Economy Concept (2013-2050), Kyrgyzstan’s Climate Adaptation Strategy (up to 2030), Tajikistan’s Climate Change Strategy (2019-2030), and Uzbekistan’s Green Uzbekistan Program (2021-2030)—that promote sustainable practices, water resource management, and land rehabilitation across Central Asia. With my experience closely aligned to the objectives of these national and regional programs, I am well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to climate resilience and sustainable agricultural practices within the Central Asian context.
